PROPOSALS ENGINEER



Reporting lines and interactions:



Functionally reports to: Proposal Manager
Directly supervises (operationally): Proposal assistants and secretary
Liaising with Business Devt. Manager, Discipline Engineers, Heads of Disciplines, Estimation Division, Cost Control Division


Profile:

Graduate of any Engineering Course preferably with Masteral studies is an added advantage
At least 5 years solid experience in Commercial aspects of the projects in Oil and Gas Industry and related work environment
At least 2 years in Proposals Department, Contracts, Planning and Scheduling and Estimation
proven experience in engineering projects (oil and gas) of multi-disciplinary nature


Main accountabilities:



He shall be responsible for ensuring that Technical Proposals are prepared as per client requirements and such preparation takes place with the involvement of all necessary participants in the project.
He/she functions under the the leadership and supervision of the Proposal Manager
Review and evaluate the extent of work and list the company dpeartments that are to be involved with the Tender Praparation
Prepare write up and content of the un-priced Technical Proposal including the technical clarifications / qualifications on the basis of client
Prepare list of proposed key personnel for the project in coordination with the Heads of participating disciplines
Compile all estimated manhours and discuss them with the relevant disciplines and submit the same to Cost / Estimation for pricing
Ensure that priced proposals as per client requirements are complete
To participate when required in Cost Meetings attended by the Commercial and Cost Control departments
To initiate Bid Bond requests, parent company quarantees, powers of attorney and similar requests when required
Prepare Proposal Preparation Check List for Large Projects
Comply with Quality Management System of Technip Group
