SR.Process Engineer
Reporting lines and interactions:
Functionally reports to: Head of Process Discipline
Operationally reports to: Lead Discipline Engineer

The Process Engineer is responsible for executing delegated responsibilities within a project team to the effect of assisting the Senior or Lead Process Engineer in ensuring that all design and drafting output for the Discipline is carried out on schedule, within budget and to the complete satisfaction of the Client. He reports functionally to the Senior Discipline Engineer and operationally to the Lead Discipline Engineer.
1.Preparation of conceptual study reports and process design dossiers.
2.Assisting the Lead Discipline Engineer in overseeing all the issues pertaining to the completion of Process deliverables on a project, including the planning and implementation of the Project to meet schedule and budget requirements.
3.Conceptualization of the Process, preparation of the required study and philosophy reports and submitting them to client for approval; Discussing with the client and finalize the Basis of Design for the project.
4.Definition of tasks and supervision of Draftsmen assigned to the team, including checking of drawings produced. Final checking of drawings shall be by the Lead Discipline Engineer.
5.Performing simulations and preparing heat and material balance to meet the project specifications;
6.Preparation of Study Reports, Equipment datasheets, Instrument datasheets, Process Fluid Lists, PEFDs, Utility balance summary etc; Achieving the optimum design with respect to cost, safety and operability
7.Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams
8.Checking of the documents (e.g. Study Reports, Equipment datasheets, PFDs etc.) prepared by Discipline Engineers
9.Carrying out hydraulic calculations, instrument and equipment sizing calculations etc and preparation of specification sheets.
10.Developing P&ID, PSFS, and other relevant documents as required by project. Specific design procedures for the Process Design Checking practice are as defined in GE A312-02
11.Coordinating with Engineers from other Disciplines for the inter-disciplinary tasks stated in Protocol General Section 1.3 and in GENERAL WORKING PROCEDURE.
12.Coordinating with Project and client, subcontractors and/or suppliers; Coordinating with client engineers on Process engineering issues
13.Providing Process support to site engineers on technical query issues
14.Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and pre-qualification documents in what relates to Process engineering design (preparation of calculations notes, specifications, data sheets, reports, material requisitions, estimation of man-hours, method statement etc.)
15.Assisting in the management, maintenance and control of documents and data required for the good execution of the work. Document Control procedures are as defined in GENERAL WORKING PROCEDURE.
16. Following company Quality Management System as stated in the TPME Quality Manual and its subsequent procedures
17.Contributing towards, maintaining and implementing both company and client HSE Management System objectives and procedures, as specified in GENERAL WORKING PROCEDURE and the HSE Manual 1357 A - HSEM – 2
18.Complying with the applicable company procedures for the Engineering Department and the Process Discipline as they are documented in DEPARTMENT WORKING PROCEDURE respectively, as well as those procedures in the references listed therein.
19.Discipline Engineer on Projects. Functions are as per project scope and as assigned by the Lead Discipline Engineer
20.As QMR, whenever assigned, responsible to ensure that the TPME quality system is understood by Discipline members and that the Quality Management System is implemented.
21. As HSE Representative, whenever assigned, responsible to ensure that the TPME HSE Management system is understood and implemented by Discipline members.
Additional information:
Educational Degrees and Certifications
University or Higher Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
Computer Skills
Basic knowledge of:
- Simulation software such as: PROSIM, PRO II, OLGA, FLARENET
- MS Office
- Advanced knowledge of: HYSIS, PIPESIM
Experience
Minimum Time of Related Experience: 10 Years
- Oil and Gas Process Engineering Offshore / Onshore
- Familiarity with International Design Codes,
- Process Deliverables like P&ID's, Data Sheets,
- Experience in issuing Study Reports.
